February 2007: Rashomon

"Rashomon," the classic film by acclaimed Japanese director, Akira Kurosawa, will be screened at UVSC as part of Phi Theta Kappa's continuing International Cinema program.

Rashomon, sometimes referred to as "the best known Japanese film in the world," details events surrounding a crime and explores the notion that people perceive the same events differently.

Phi Theta Kappa, UVSC's International Honor Society, screens foreign films monthly. For more information on this or any other film, or to suggest a lecture in conjunction with any film on the roster, please visit UVSCIC.
